Man in need of criminal defense after being charged with theft

On Behalf of | Apr 2, 2019 | Criminal Defense

An arrest for any type of crime can weigh heavily on a person. Not only does he or she have to contend with the anxiety-inducing possibility of facing jail time or other consequences, but that individual may also have to contend with the personal reputation damage. Nonetheless, a meaningful criminal defense may help.

It was recently reported that a man in Missouri was taken into custody for an alleged theft. Details regarding the incident were few, but apparently, the incident occurred at a truck stop. Authorities received a report from the truck stop, and as a result, police conducted an investigation. It was unclear what may have prompted the report, and the details of the investigation were not disclosed.

Still, a 46-year-old man was taken into custody. He is currently facing a misdemeanor charge for stealing and an infraction for second degree trespassing. He was booked into a county jail, and his bond was set at $1,000, cash only. It was unclear whether he had posted that bail or if he was still in custody at the time of the report. Additional information may be disclosed at a later time.

When addressing the criminal charges, the man may feel a considerable number of emotions. In efforts to feel calmer and more in control, it may help him to become more knowledgeable on his pending Missouri case. Applicable legal information could help him when creating his criminal defense, if he wishes to create one, and it could also allow him to know what to expect throughout the proceedings.
